Changes in Bankruptcy Rules, Forms, and Fees Effective December 1, 2023

There are several upcoming changes regarding the rules, forms, and fees which will impact bankruptcy practice.  These changes are effective December 1, 2023.  The Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure have amendments to Rules 3011, 8003, and 9006, as well as a new rule, Rule 9038.   Changes to forms include two Official Forms, Official Form 410A and Official Form 417A, and one Director’s Form, Form 1340.   The Judicial Conference approved inflationary adjustments to fees on the appellate, district, and bankruptcy court miscellaneous fee schedules, as well as on the Court of Federal Claims and the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation miscellaneous fee schedules pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1913, 1914, 1930, 1926, and 1932, respectively.  Click below to view the changes to the rules, forms, and bankruptcy court miscellaneous fee schedule:
